In early 2011 Michelle Jones was taken from this lifetime through an act of domestic violence that also claimed her 19 year old son, Christopher Ellis. Through the process of grief, Julie realized that now, more than ever, the work of Indigo Moon must continue on.

Musing about the Writing of “With Radical Faith and Effortless Grace.. The Journey to Heart Space”
I send you warm blessings and welcome you to enter the world of Radical Faith and Effortless Grace. I’m often asked where the name for the book came from… my only answer is…. that it always just was. In the book “Journey to Heart Space” you’ll meet my Anamchara, the soul friend who showed up in the journey to lead me to the center of my heart and ultimately to the writing of the first book in the Radical Faith and Effortless Grace series. Throughout our relationship he would often say he was going to do something; “With Radical Faith.” And so, the auburn haired beauty, Radical Faith -- with her unfailing courage and strength was borne. You’ll also meet The Seer, with her profound wisdom and clear sight that played a key role in helping me to understand the life lessons that were being revealed all around me. At the start of each of our sessions she opens with a prayer. Contained in that prayer are the words, “Effortless Grace.” And thus, the second sister, Effortless Grace with her compassion and wisdom came to be.
Perhaps the character, whom I affectionately came to call, “The Wicked Ego Witch” is the character that is the most noticeably alive in us all. She is the voice inside that screams with her lies of inadequacy and limitation. Her fierce and alluring words would keep me hostage in their incessant messages of failure and shame. She is the voice we all seek to silence as we come to honor our own truth, compassion and as we learn to find our own Self-Love.
I invite you to join me on my very personal journey through a section of my River of Life. On this journey we’ll share laughter and tears. You’ll get to know me… really, really well… at least the part of me that struggled with finding her own heart. My hope is that through my story, you’ll start to find your own – either because you’ve already traveled the same stretch of the River or because you’re getting ready for the journey. Either way, in the words of the incredible artist, and my friend – Kim McElroy, “May Faith and Grace inspire you to embrace your own potential…”

THE WHOLE JOURNEY associated with bringing “With Radical Faith and Effortless Grace… The Journey to Heart Space” alive has just been magical. One of the more surreal moments thus far was having renowned artist Kim McElroy say yes to creating an original piece of artwork for the cover. This story too has moments filled with the Wicked Ego Witch and her ranting with Radical Faith and Effortless Grace urging me on.
I was first introduced to the artwork and sheer creative genius of Kim McElroy many months before my journey in Heart Space began. I have been an avid follower of Linda Kohanov who is an incredibly talented author and pioneer horse-person in terms of bringing light to horse consciousness. ‘The Tao of Equus’ and ‘Riding Between the Worlds’ are two of my most favorite books of all time – I highly recommend both to anyone seeking to learn more about the powerful connection that is possible between horses and humans. When Linda Kohanov teamed up with Kim McElroy to bring, “Way of the Horse – Equine Archetypes for Self-Discovery” to the world, I was likely one of the first purchasers. This divination set of inspirational cards is unlike anything I had ever seen before. Each “horse wisdom” card in the deck features an original piece of Kim McElroy art.
From the first moments I had the set in my hand, I would often find myself asking a question and letting serendipity move me to the card that would hold the wisdom I might need to find the answer. During my relationship with Anamchara, it became a nightly occurrence to find inspiration and guidance by working with ‘Way of the Horse’. Many of the art pieces moved me deeply and I would often find myself sharing the art and the wisdom in the words with Anamchara as we moved through different experiences in our relationship.
As “With Radical Faith and Effortless Grace… The Journey to Heart Space” came to life I began to have little hints of intuition that the cover would just find its way. One day, on a seemingly random intuitive thought I decided to send Kim McElroy an email asking if she’d be interested in creating an original piece for my cover. The Wicked Ego Witch had a field-day with this one… Boy was she shocked when I received an email response directly from the woman whose art moves me so deeply. It seemed we were destined to not only work together… but to become friends. I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to work with a woman who is not only incredibly talented but as kind, intuitive and compassionate a human being as I’ve ever known.
I was incredibly fortunate to be able to travel to Kim’s home and be welcomed warmly at her kitchen table as we talked for hours as old friends. The unveiling of “Leap of Faith” was a surreal moment. The Universe was smiling a resounding yes as one of the last pieces on this journey to bring the book to life fell into place. I not only received the perfect artistic compliment to my words… I received the gift of friendship. On both counts, I am humble and filled with gratitude.
“Julie’s invitation to create the cover for this book began my own journey into “Radical Faith and Effortless Grace”. Julie’s support of my intuitive and artistic process made it a pleasure to envision her creation. Then only a brief time after we began our plans, she found out we’d need to have the artwork done in a matter of weeks!
